Many years ago (in February 1981 to be exact) the LSC was formed and our very first trip was to North Devon at the end of March.
Here's the report from the newsletter, not sure who wrote it but it was either me or George Palmer.
The Devon Trip
Although the turn out was not that large a good time was had by all, wathching 15'+ Croyde and getting hammered in 10'+ Puttsborough. The bar in Tamaris guesthouse stayed open until we were ready to go to bed on Saturday night and dream about the days hold downs. Sunday's surf was a lot smaller, but still pretty good.
