emails are great and very useful. I like them. I appreciate the direct line of communication they offer. However, I find the overt use of inverted commas 'confusing' as if someone is coming across as 'condescending' or 'taking the piss' and if nothing else they are 'unnecessary'.

Matt,

I've enjoyed your emails from your trip to South America, but they are sometimes difficult to read due to the poor spelling and grammer. Even in your post here you've started without a capital letter. While I agree on your point about inverted commas, it did sound a little 'pots and kettles'!
